After Galloway Forest Park was awarded a Dark Sky Park designation, Kirkcudbright Development Trust approached Glasgow Science Centre to develop the Dark Space Planetarium. AM System were thrilled to be awarded the contract for the technical design, manufacture and installation of the bespoke joinery elements.
The planetarium contains over 25 different interactive exhibits, designed to appeal to all ages, which celebrates the majesty and infinity of space. This project included working with custom illumination, metalwork as well as a variety of sheet materials and finishes. This state-of-the-art exhibition opened in Kirkcudbright in 2021 after a successful collaboration with the whole team.
