AM System were appointed to work alongside Mather & Co. on the Gretna Green Redevelopment Programme in June 2021. Both acting as principal contractor as well as being responsible for the technical design and manufacture of both the exhibition and retail areas.
Over the course of the year, our designers learned a huge amount about this historic venue, integrating the Gretna Green story into our designs and working with the expert teams from Mather & Co. and Gretna Green. The result is a fantastic showcase of over 500 years of marriages and love stories.

Each portion of the project posed its own challenges, such as working in a building which is, in parts, 500 years old! Yet, we are pleased to announce that the Gretna Green team and visitors are delighted with the resulting exhibition. The powerful story of runaway romance continues!
